Social Media Mastery - How to Get Your First 1K Followers Fast - Episode 2
We made it! Episode 2.
This past week has been a great one - my social media pages have grown steadily, and once again, we’ve hit millions of views, with content going viral every single day.
That’s all great, but let’s get to the real question:
How on earth do you get your first 1,000 followers?
The age-old question.
When starting out, everyone dreams of hitting 10,000, 100,000, or even 1 million followers - but very few stop to ask:
"How do I actually get my first 1,000 genuine followers?"
My advice:
📌 Create Consistent Content – When I started, I posted every single day at around 6 PM. This built a habit that I’ve only improved over time.
📌 Stick to a Niche – Stay in your lane. If you love football, talk about football. If you’re obsessed with snakes, post about snakes. The key is to focus on one niche so your audience knows what to expect.
📌 Jump on Viral Trends – Use trending sounds, visuals, or text formats in your posts. You’d be mad not to.
📌 Recreate + Improve Successful Content – DO NOT COPY. Copying gets you nowhere. But you’d be missing out on huge potential if you don’t study what works in your niche and put your own spin on it.
📌 Engage With Your Audience – Don’t just post and ghost. Reply to comments, be insightful, be funny - engagement pushes your content further into the algorithms.
📌 Learn From Your Failures – We’ve all had posts that flopped. The difference between success and failure on social media? The best creators learn why something didn’t work and improve.
Genuinely, these pieces of advice will lead you to that first 1,000 followers. It is worth noting, that it took me almost 1 year to get my first 1,000 followers. As of writing this, I now have a combined 400,000 across all platforms just a few years later.
