Social Media Mastery - Why You Should Want To Grow your Personal Brand - Episode 3
Finally, we made it to Episode 3.
This past week has been great once again. Since the last edition of Social Media Mastery, I’ve received one main piece of feedback: I skipped a vital chapter of everyone’s social media journey.
When you read "how to grow your first 1,000 followers," I bet you thought:
Why would I even want to grow my Social Media’s + Personal Brand?
In life, to do anything, you need a “why”.
Think about it - when you wake up in the morning, you don’t have to brush your teeth. You could go through the day without doing it. But there’s a reason why you get up and clean those little pieces of calcium - i.e., to stop people from smelling your bad breath and to prevent decay. That’s your “why”.
So, for posting on social media and growing your personal brand, here should be your “why”:
📌 Build Authority & Credibility – A strong personal brand establishes you as an expert in your field, whether that's social media marketing, fitness, fashion, or anything else. When people trust your knowledge, they’re more likely to follow your advice, buy your products, or partner with you professionally.
📌 Influence & Impact – A personal brand gives you a platform to inspire, educate, or motivate others. By sharing your story, experiences, and insights, you can positively impact people’s lives and build a community of engaged followers in your chosen niche.
📌 Networking & Collaborations – Having strong personal brand, will make it easier to connect with like-minded individuals and organisations. It opens doors for partnerships and collaborations that can help you grow both professionally and personally.
📌 Create your own narrative – Building your personal brand gives you control over how you’re perceived. This allows you to shape your story and ensure your message resonates with the audience you want to attract.
📌 Create Passive Income Streams – When you grow your personal brand, you can monetise it in sooooo many ways, such as through brand deals, affiliate marketing, selling digital products (eBooks, courses, merchandise), or launching paid memberships. If you grow super large with your personal brand, companies like TikTok will even pay you per view you receive on your page!
📌 ( THE MAIN REASON ) - Attract Clients or Customers – If you’re running a business, your personal brand is often the face of your company. A strong personal brand can help you build a loyal community and attract clients or customers who connect with your values and personality. People are more likely to buy into the story behind the business, and that’s the key to attracting new clients!
Without a doubt, if you understand the “why” for building out a personal brand, nothing can stop you. Look at any creator or influencer you follow online, they were in your exact situation when they started. The key is this: they started, and they stayed consistent from day one. Now, go and smash it yourself!!!
